Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Ends in Traffic Collision Involving Sedan in South Los Angeles

SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Nov. 25 (KNN) — A traffic collision involving a stolen vehicle and an innocent motorist ended a police pursuit in the Manchester Square neighborhood within South Los Angeles early Saturday morning.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol’s Central units were in pursuit of a stolen pickup truck when it collided with a sedan at the intersection of West Florence Avenue and South Western Avenue shortly after 1 a.m.

The pickup truck landed on the sidewalk and the suspect fled on foot, but was quickly apprehended by authorities.

A female in the sedan that was struck by the stolen vehicle was treated by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics and released at the scene.
