Del Rey, Los Angeles, CA: A suspect opened fire on a vehicle wounding the male occupant early Tuesday morning, Dec. 27, in the Del Rey neighborhood of Westside Los Angeles.

The shooting occurred just before 1:00 a.m. at the intersection of South Centinela and Louise avenues.

The victim was seated inside a white pickup truck when an unknown suspect shot an unknown number of rounds at the victim.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to Key News Network regarding the incident and stated via email that the 27-year-old male victim “was sitting in his vehicle when an unknown suspect approached in another vehicle and fired at the victim’s vehicle, striking the victim.”

A suspect fled the scene and was reportedly seen heading northbound on Centinela.

“The victim was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics to a local hospital in stable condition. It is unknown if the incident is gang related,”stated LAPD.

Los Angeles Police Department Pacific Division is handling the investigation.
