Suspected DUI Crash Leaves 2 Young Children, 1 Female Adult Injured in Los Angeles

PICO-UNION, LOS ANGELES, Apr. 14 (KNN) — A traffic collision involving injuries and a DUI arrest occurred in the Pico-Union neighborhood of Los Angeles around 1:40 a.m. Monday on the 1000 block of South Hoover Street near West Olympic Boulevard.

The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and initially reported two adult and two pediatric patients at the scene of a two-vehicle collision. The LAFD later reported that at least three patients were transported to a local hospital. PIO Lyndsey Lantz with the LAFD confirmed to Key News Network that one 24-year-old female and two female pediatric patients – a 3-year-old and a 4-year-old – were all in fair condition upon transport.

Lantz said the drivers of both vehicles were males and were not transported.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division officers responded due to a beligerant male at the scene who was taken into custody.

A spokesperson for the LAPD told Key News Network that a felony DUI arrest was made at the scene, but could not confirm if it was the beligerant male.
