Suspected DUI Driver in Custody After Pursuit

SUNLAND-TUJUNGA, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 8 (KNN) — A driver was taken Into custody for suspected DUI after a pursuit Monday night.

The Los Angeles Police Department requested a backup around 9:30 p.m. for a pursuit of a suspected DUI driver. Information from the scene indicated that the driver was throwing beer cans out of the vehicle as he was being pursued.

The driver ditched his vehicle in the area of Wentworth Street and Peluso Avenue in the Sunland-Tujunga neighborhood.

The driver was taken into custody.
