California Highway Patrol Baldwin Park Station officers responded to the eastbound 10 Freeway just east of the 605 Freeway transition road regarding a semi that lost its trailer in the number 2 lane on the eastbound 10 Freeway around 1:47 a.m.

Within five minutes of the first 911 call, CHP dispatch received an additional 911 call of a vehicle that struck the abandoned trailer in lanes on the eastbound 10 Freeway at the 605.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department was dispatched to the location for possible injuries.

Once CHP and firefighters arrived on scene, they located a trailer in lanes on the eastbound 10 Freeway and a damaged white Jeep on the right shoulder about 50 yards up ahead of the trailer. The driver and passenger of the jeep were not injured.

CHP shut down all eastbound 10 Freeway lanes and the northbound 605 Freeway to the eastbound 10 Freeway as the semi backed up to the trailer and was able to move it over to the right shoulder.

It is unknown at this time how the semi driver lost his trailer.

CHP is investigating the incident.
