Trash Cans Set Ablaze Inside 3-Story Office Building

Van Nuys, Los Angeles, CA: Multiple trash cans set ablaze were found to be the cause of a fire inside a Van Nuys office building early Friday, June 24, 2022.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire in a three-story office building around 3:05 a.m. on the 6800 block of Van Nuys Boulevard in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley.

Crews arrived to find smoke coming out of the top floor and roof. When firefighters made entry, they found multiple trash cans set ablaze inside and requested arson to respond to the scene.

There are no further details at this time. The fire is under investigation.
