SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Calif., Feb. 6 (KNN) — Two people were shot when a handgun was produced during an argument in the West Adams neighborhood of South Los Angeles late Wednesday night.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Division units responded to the 3400 block of Somerset Drive for reports of a shooting victim around 10 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located a female and a male with gunshot wounds. According to Officer Miller, a spokesperson for the LAPD, they were both shot while wrestling with a handgun that the male pulled out during an argument while they were inside a vehicle.
Officer Miller did not reveal their ages, but they were determined to be adults. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported both patients to a local hospital. They are in stable condition, but it was unknown if they were still hospitalized.
Per initial reports, a suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
There are no further details at this time.
