Woman Shot to Death in Encino, Suspect is Husband

ENCINO, LOS ANGELES, Feb. 6 (KNN) — A domestic-related incident resulted in the shooting death of a woman in Encino Wednesday evening, according to authorities.

The reported shooting occurred in the 5100 block of Hesperia Avenue shortly before 7:30 p.m.

Responding officers located a woman outside a home with a gunshot wound. Officer Miller, a spokesperson for the LAPD, told Key News Network the victim was in her 50s and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This is a domestic-related incident, and the suspect is the husband, said Miller.

Homicide detectives were observed at the scene for the investigation. There are no further details at this time.
