Woman Shot in Front of Motel in South Los Angeles Neighborhood

Vermont Knolls, Los Angeles, CA: A woman was shot early Monday morning, Mar. 6, at approximately 12:32 a.m. in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood within South Los Angeles.

The shooting occurred in front of a motel located on the 7440 block of South Figueroa Street.

The Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division officers responded to the location.

A single female was transported to a local area hospital suffering from a gunshot wound possibly to the abdomen.

Bullet casings were located at the intersection near the motel.

The suspect was possibly driving a dark colored Mercedes sedan. No further information is available at this time.
