Wrong-Way Driver Causes Multi-Vehicle Crash on 101 Freeway in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Dec. 11 (KNN) — A wrong-way driver caused a major traffic collision involving multiple vehicles on the 101 Freeway early Monday morning in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles.

The California Highway Patrol’s Central Los Angeles Office received reports around 2 a.m. regarding a wrong-way driver traveling northbound in southbound lanes of the 101 Freeway that had entered from the Sunset Boulevard off-ramp.

The vehicle continued traveling the wrong way before causing a collision at the Hollywood Boulevard exit involving at least six vehicles.

At least one person was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

The southbound 101 Freeway was expected to be closed for approximately 30 minutes.
