LONG BEACH, Calif., Feb. 25 (KNN) — An alleged armed road rage suspect was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon following an hours-long standoff with Long Beach Police Department SWAT. The barricaded, possibly armed man was apprehended at a home near the intersection of Geneva Walk and East The Toledo.

The individual was wanted in connection with a road rage incident that was reported at approximately 10:20 a.m. in Long Beach.
“Officers responded to a report of a road rage incident. The victim stated a male adult suspect pointed a firearm at her,” said Long Beach Police Public Information Officer Richard Mejia. “Officers located the vehicle described by the victim in the 5500 block of The Toledo. Officers are on scene, attempting to call the suspect out of a residence. The SWAT Team has been activated. The investigation is ongoing.”
A possible suspect was taken into custody at approximately 2:30 p.m. No further information has been released regarding the victim or their condition following the altercation.
