Baldwin Park, Los Angeles County, CA: A driver of a big rig was trapped after overturning on the 605 Freeway to the 10 east interchange early Thursday morning.

At approximately 1:02 a.m. June 29, California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to an overturned big rig with one person trapped on the 605 Freeway northbound onto the 10 east interchange and blocking all lanes except the HOV lane in the city of Baldwin Park.

CHP arrived and the driver self-extricated with the help of some good Samaritans. Firefighter/paramedics arrived and quickly started to assess the patient and also stop the gas leak coming from the big rig.

The driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injures. All lanes were stopped for an unknown period of time.
