Driver Hospitalized After Severe Single-Vehicle Crash in Phoenix

PHOENIX, Ariz., Mar. 23 (KNN) — Phoenix police officers and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision near the intersection of 35th Avenue and Northern Avenue around 2:30 am. Saturday.

Officers arrived to find a sedan wrapped around a large strip plaza sign.

Phoenix firefighters arrived and extricated the sole male occupant/driver from the vehicle. He was transported to a local trauma center with serious injuries.

Per the Phoenix PD at the scene, impairment is suspected.

A hard closure was established for 35th Avenue between Northern Avenue and Augusta Avenue while officers investigated the collision.
