SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Nov. 29 (KNN) — A Los Angeles Police Department Southwest Division gang unit struck a pedestrian and crashed into a burger stand around 12:44 a.m. Wednesday in the 3900 block of South Normandie Avenue in the Exposition Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles.

Per a witness at the scene, two gang units were chasing a vehicle when one of them made an abrupt turn before crashing.
The pedestrian was evaluated at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics, but declined further assistance.
There was no serious structural damage to the burger stand and no officers were reported injured in the crash.
The LAPD’s South Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
