Palmdale Brush Fire Burns 20 Acres

PALMDALE, Calif., Sept. 1 (KNN) – Firefighters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department were battling a fast-moving vegetation fire reported near East Barrel Springs Road and Harold First Street in Palmdale on Monday afternoon.

As of the latest update, the blaze has grown to approximately 20 acres. Authorities have issued evacuation warnings for the surrounding area, while a shelter-in-place order has also been requested for nearby residents.

Crews from the Los Angeles County Fire Department Division 5 are on scene, working to contain the fire and protect structures in the area.

No injuries have been reported at this time, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
