Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, CA: A 42-year-old man from La Quinta was found dead in a room at a location in Woodland Hills and homicide detectives from Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau are asking for the public’s help in providing information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved.

Police say Topanga area patrol officers responded to a call of a “Battery Investigation” in the 20200 block of Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills just before 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022. When officers arrived at the location, they found the male victim inside a room laying on the ground with his feet tied together and hands handcuffed behind his back. There were strangulation marks on his neck.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim has not yet been identified pending notification of next of kin.

According to LAPD, detectives learned that the victim was found dead by the security guard and manager at the location. The victim had been staying at the location since July of 2021. LAPD says detectives will continue to canvas the area for witnesses, surveillance cameras and further evidence.

Key News Network reached out to LAPD to confirm whether the location was a hotel or residence but was told the detectives did not provide that information.
