Vehicle Slams Into Power Pole Taking Down Wires, Trapping Driver

LADERA HEIGHTS, Calif., Nov. 9 (KNN) — A driver was trapped inside his vehicle after slamming into a power pole late Wednesday night.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle crash shortly before 11 p.m. in the 5000 block of South La Brea Avenue in Ladera Heights.

When crews arrived on scene, they located a red sedan into a power pole with wires down and the driver trapped inside the vehicle.

The 30-year-old male driver was extricated by the LAFD and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division is handling the crash investigation.
